Place Matters Oregon

OREGON HEALTH AUTHORITY
Often, the assumption is that health is strictly a matter of personal choice and responsibility. What may be less obvious, but is actually just as big of a driver of health, are issues surrounding place. Our physical, mental and emotional health are all affected by where we live, work, play and learn. Whether that is access to nutritious foods, or safe and affordable opportunities to exercise, barriers in the built environment and our existing systems create an unequal playing field for health throughout Oregon.
