Yamhill County wanted a website to be the home base of the campaign. We took this idea and used it to build a foundation for the campaign and then extended it to included a host of more kid-friendly channels to round out the effort. With our target counties rich with Spanish-speaking residents, we created the site in both English and Spanish, and compartmentalized the information into easily comprehensible sections for distractable kids. Our research indicates teens can feel overwhelmed and helpless when engaging with drug-related information, so we created a simple and actionable journey, with plenty of tools and resources.

We also created resources for partners and youth-serving organizations to distribute throughout their communities. These included flyers, posters, palm cards and social media content that allowed for co-branding with the new campaign. One of these important partners was, of course, the local schools where much of these materials would be distributed, so we timed the launch of the new campaign with the beginning of the school year. These pieces included information on spotting fentanyl overdose, information about Narcan (naloxone) and steps to take when someone experiences an overdose. We also included resources for mental health and substance abuse support in the area.
