In an effort to refresh a brand for a well-respected agency, we utilized a comprehensive approach to understand the broad spectrum of ODA’s work. As a state agency, ODA is uniquely responsible for both promoting Oregon’s agricultural products and regulating their production. Some outsiders see these responsibilities as conflicting, adding to the complexity of our task. Our challenge lay in capturing the breadth of the department’s reach and ensuring everyone involved, both inside and out, felt represented by the brand.
